Is the free tier actually free?
Yes. It runs on your device, with no account and no limit on how much you track. See the privacy policy for exactly what it stores and where.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere, by default. Neither the browser extension nor the Android app makes network requests of its own, and everything stays in local storage on your device. Full detail on the privacy page.
Something looks wrong, like a session that wasn't counted
Grab the diagnostic log before reaching out: in the browser extension, Options → Diagnostics → download; in the Android app, Settings → Diagnostics → Share log. It makes the bug much faster to track down, and it never contains what you typed.

How do I remove a tracked site or app, or delete everything?
Remove a tracked site (extension) or app (Android) any time from Options or Settings; past sessions for it stay unless you clear them separately. Uninstalling deletes everything on your device, with no server copy, so export a backup first if you want to keep it.
